Dublin Simon Community provides services to over 7,600 people and families each year across Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Their mission is to empower people to access and retain a home by providing housing, prevention, addiction treatment, emergency response and other targeted interventions, through advocacy and partnership.
Wellola is one of Europe's leading patient/client facing platform providers and offers video consultations, personal health records, online assessments, appointment bookings and secure messaging. More than 600 health organisations in Ireland and the UK are now using Wellola.
Covid-19 has had devastating consequences and has left many people needing critical access to services; using Wellola has allowed the Dublin Simon community to continue supporting their clients and maintaining a connection via means such as video consulting.
Supported by the European Institute of of technology and innovation, the Wellola system (hosted in AWS and managed by Deloitte) offers high levels of security and aims to remove structural barriers to care via it GDPR-compliant communication portal.
